My husband and I have made a bunch of videos on my YouTube channel along the same lines because I wanted people to see how two English teachers think and talk about books when they've never read them before--kind of demystify the process. But it takes courage--so yay you!
I’ve been waiting 2 years for this review. Wonderful, and a very cleaver way to tackle the themes that hang from the strange framework Pirsig constructed. I’m sure the author would appreciate you approach and insights. Next up is Ovid’s Metamorphosis... when you have time:)
I feel like it’s always so rewarding to read something that at first seems like an uncertain challenge and ends up being so throughly enjoyed! I have to say - I would never choose a book with motorcycle maintenance in the title. But with your endorsement, I will consider it!
This is a great book, one that influenced my life in many ways including turning me in to the study of rhetoric. The freight train at the edge of reality metaphor always stuck with me.
