Given the name of this website, it is apt that you have reviewed Elizabeth Winkler's book which suggests Shakespeare may have been written by Emilia Bassano who wrote 'Eve's Apology in Defence of Women'. As evidence, Winkler cites my book, 'Aemilia [Bassano] Lanyer as Shakespeare's Co-Author' (Routledge, 2022). This shows compelling links between Aemilia's life & feminism, and the Shakespeare canon. Next year, 'Aemilia Lanyer as Shakespeare's Rival Poet' (Routledge, 2026), will add to the evidence.
Also note that Stuart Kells made up stuff about me in his 2020 book which RK mentioned.
Can't wait to read this book!!! You have convinced me that this mystery is worth exploring. I have often doubted the facts about the authorship of Shakespeare's plays, but now it is burning in my brain, and I need to find out more. You are a brave girl for dipping your pen into this centuries-old debate. I am so glad you did!
